The oldest data captured by Webb Telescope in this image is 13.1 billion years old.
Everything you see here is billions of years old view, these all do not look like this at the current time. And you can’t see the current and present look of these stars and galaxies.
Chances are even these galaxies and stars are already bursted and died and in real-time there is nothing, but we can’t confirm this thing because it’s 99.99% impossible right now.
• BUT WHY & HOW ITS PAST BUT NOT PRESENT LOOK OF STARS AND WHY WE CAN’T SEE PRESENT DATA?
Because the data you see in this image is captured by receiving LIGHT coming from Galaxies and Stars. Light travel at the speed of 3 Lac KM per second & these galaxies are 5, 10 & 13 billion light years away from us. (1 light year = if you travel at the speed of light for 1 year)
which means even light particles required to travel 13 billion years to come from source to us, so YES, the data you see here was traveling from past 13 billion years ago and now it’s just reached us so we captured it.
BUT
As I said, it takes 13B years to reach us, so that’s why we can’t see the present look of these galaxies and stars because of their current and present data & look just started traveling but will reach us after 13 billion years 🥶.
